1st University Credit Union Announces Board Election Results and 2026 Officers

WACO, Texas — 1st University Credit Union has announced the election of three members to its Board of Directors for three-year terms beginning in April 2026.

The Nominating Committee, appointed by the Board of Directors, submitted the names of Kevin Robinson, Jorge Vielledent, and Randy Wood as nominees to fill Board seats with terms expiring in March 2026. No nominations by petition were submitted to the Nominating Committee by the announced deadline of 5:00 p.m. on February 2, 2026. In accordance with the credit union’s bylaws, the nominees were elected by acclamation at the Annual Meeting.

The members of the Nominating Committee were Stan Denman, Pearl Beverly, Elizabeth Wallace, and Randy Wood.

Kevin Robinson has been a member of 1st University Credit Union since 2002 and is currently completing his third three-year term on the Board of Directors. During his service, he has provided leadership as Chairman of the Supervisory Committee and has previously served as Vice Chairman. Professionally, Robinson began his tenure at Baylor University in 2002 and has advanced through multiple leadership roles. He currently serves as Director of Athletic Medicine – Clinical Care. Robinson has been a Baylor Bear since 1997 and has served as a Deacon at Highland Baptist Church since 2019.

Jorge Vielledent has been a member of 1st University Credit Union since 2019 and is completing his first three-year term on the Board of Directors. During his term, he has served on the Asset-Liability Committee for three years and as Secretary-Treasurer for the past two years. Professionally, Vielledent has held a series of progressively responsible roles at Baylor University since 2019 and currently serves as Business Officer in the Provost’s Office. He holds multiple degrees from Baylor University and is currently working toward his doctorate.

Randy Wood has been a member of 1st University Credit Union since 1985 and is completing his second three-year term on the Board of Directors. During his service, he has held leadership roles as Secretary-Treasurer and Chairman. Wood spent more than three decades on the faculty at Baylor University, serving as Professor of Curriculum and Instruction from 1985 to 2021. He now holds the title of Emeritus Professor in Curriculum and Instruction. Wood earned multiple degrees from Baylor University, including a Ph.D. in Psychology of Religion and Education, and has served in leadership positions with church and civic organizations.

Following the Annual Meeting, the Board reconvened its March meeting to elect officers for the 2026 term. Randy Wood will continue to serve as Chairman, Kevin Robinson will continue to serve as Vice Chairman, and Jorge Vielledent will continue to serve as Secretary-Treasurer.
