Refer-A-Friend Program

Terms and Conditions


Welcome to 1st University Credit Union’s Refer-a-Friend program! We’re glad you want to share the love for your credit union. Please read the details below so you and your friends know exactly how to qualify and get rewarded.

Eligibility

  • You must be an existing 1st University CU member with an active savings account.

  • Your friend must qualify for membership and open a new checking account.

Reward Details

  • $50 for you + $50 for your friend once the requirements are met.

  • Rewards will be deposited into your savings accounts within five (5) business days of qualification.

  • There’s no limit to the number of friends you can refer.

How to Qualify

  1. Print & Fill Out the Form – Include your name so we know who to reward.

  2. Your Friend Brings the Form – They must present it when opening their account.

  3. Your Friend Uses Their Debit Card – They must complete at least 20 debit card purchases per month during the first three (3) full statement cycles.

Important Notes

  • Your friend must be a new member (no existing or recently closed checking account).

  • Only posted transactions count toward the 20-purchase requirement. Pending transactions do not qualify.

  • Business, trust, estate, or organizational accounts are not eligible.

  • Rewards may be considered taxable income; consult your tax advisor.

  • 1st University CU may change or discontinue this program at any time.
